IV EARLY MUSIC INTERNATIONAL SUMMER COURSES  (CIMA) offer high standard tuition, masterclasses and lectures on historically informed performance at the  historical village of Idanha-a-Velha.

In this inspiring context for early music playing, the cathedral and several sixteenth-century churches will be used for historical violin, viola da gamba, baroque cello, harpsichord and continuo and baroque oboe masterclasses and ensemble music.

For the 2014 edition the focus will be repertoires from late baroque, J. S. Bach and his sons and Dresden contemporaries, including their relationships with the portuguese court.

CIMA are opened to a wide range of participants, professional, semi-professionals, either experienced baroque players or not.  Participants are all invited to present their own projects at 30' concerts and also to play in the final project.
